Knockdown rebuild or renovate. A straight test
Keep the house when the bones are good. Rebuild when you are paying to work around them.
If the plan is wrong, no kitchen will save it. If the structure is sound, the light is good, and the rooms are close to how you live, renovate. That job belongs with Cortile Renovations, not here.
Rebuild when you are about to spend more than 60 percent of a new home cost on a house that will still have the old problems. Low ceilings, a south living room, a 1970s shell you cannot bring to 7 star without tearing it open.
